Our Changemaker for April has had a diverse career and a note-worthy journey. He is known for being a journalist, civil activist, and more importantly, a truly inspirational Education Minister. Meet Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM of Delhi. Working every day to reform India into what one would call the ideal environment for growth.

Sisodia started out as a journalist for Zee News and All India Radio. In 2011, he was an active member of the Anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare to push the Jan Lokpal bill. His experience in activism led him to be one of the key drafting members of the Right to Information Act. After officially quitting journalism, he became a politician in 2012 under the Aam Aadmi Party. His successful ventures include overhauling the government schools of Delhi to create better educational opportunities for young minds in India. Sisodia doubled the budget for education eventually paving the way for the historic development of the government schools in Delhi. Now, he continues to serve in various sectors such as education, finance and planning. Truly a man who was the ‘Change’ and a Changemaker!
